English Empowerment Program
As a volunteer team, we look back with pride on our shared journey so far...
๐ 100+ hours since August 2025
More than ๐ณ๐ฟ๐ฒ๐ฒ classes; itโs about our dedication to ensure continual learning and studentsโ growth each week. To make this possible, our teachers from various time zones rotate to rise early or stay up well past midnight. Rooted in compassion, this schedule ensures that students can attend classes before sunset, when indoor lighting isnโt needed, an essential consideration for those living in harsh conditions.
๐ Empower girls in G4za
We integrate transformative learning strategies into our curriculum, guiding students toward becoming confident leaders and educators in the future.
๐ค Interactive & inclusive
We intentionally create interactive classes where every girl's voice is valued, nurturing both confidence in English and self-expression. Our thoughtfully designed offline homework also reinforces learning in a supportive, low-pressure manner, giving students the opportunity to practice and reflect at their own pace.
๐ 84+ hours of collaborative curriculum development
We care deeply:
- ๐๐ผ๐น๐น๐ฎ๐ฏ๐ผ๐ฟ๐ฎ๐๐ถ๐๐ฒ: We held over 15 group meetings to debrief each class and designed trauma-aware lessons tailored thoughtfully for the following week. Each adjustment was based on studentsโ engagement and emotional well-being
- ๐๐ฎ๐ฟ๐ฒ๐ณ๐๐น ๐ฐ๐๐ฟ๐ฎ๐๐ถ๐ผ๐ป: To maintain a psychologically safe learning environment, we intentionally avoided potentially sensitive topics such as travel and celebrations that might evoke difficult emotions
- ๐ฆ๐ผ๐ผ๐๐ต๐ถ๐ป๐ด: We center our lessons on calming themes as music and art, fostering connection to studentsโ daily realities while honouring their personal resilience, creativity, and growing confidence alongside their English development
